The family

Shibin Das

Growing up in a Christian family in Kerala, faith was woven into the fabric of my life. I learned about Christ from a young age and accepted Him as my savior at 16. After high school, I pursued a Bachelor of Theology, feeling a strong pull to serve within the church.

It was during this time that a friend introduced me to Youth With A Mission (YWAM). In 2011, I took a leap of faith and participated in their Discipleship Training School (DTS) at UofN Lonavala. It was there that a powerful realization struck me: my calling was to empower young people. I yearned to equip and send them out to fulfill God's purpose in their lives, wherever they might be called.

Driven by this newfound passion, I embarked on a journey of further equipping myself. I completed the School of Biblical Studies (SBS) and delved deeper into Make Disciple Maker (MDM) and participated in Member Care Foundation Course (MCFC). Each step solidified my commitment to guide and empower young followers of Christ.

Monica Shibin

Growing up in a Maharashtrian Christian family, I was blessed with a strong foundation of faith.

My parents' love and devotion to God were a constant inspiration. Their teachings about the Lord and His love laid a firm spiritual groundwork for my life.

While pursuing a postgraduate degree in Psychology, I discovered a deep passion for understanding human behavior. This interest was further ignited during my Discipleship Training School (DTS) experience at Lonavala in 2012.

Personal experience with molestation during my teenage years led me to recognize the urgent need for sexual abuse prevention education, especially among young girls. I felt compelled to empower them with knowledge about safe and unsafe touch.

Guided by this passion, I dedicated myself to working with young girls and their communities. To enhance my ability to support them effectively, I completed a one-year course in School Counseling.

My journey has been driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive and live safely.
